Malinda Obershaw

Glad to be back in Delavan!

Malinda Obershaw, born and raised in Delavan, is delighted to return to her hometown to serve as Executive Director of the Delavan-Delavan Lake Chamber of Commerce - a role she began in May 2023.  She also serves as Secretary on the organization's Board of Directors. 
 
“There really is no place like home, and I'm blessed to be back in Delavan working alongside incredible people and businesses,” Obershaw said. "My family has deep roots here -- from attending school to owning a local business -- and I'm proud to help promote this amazing community."
 
Obershaw has more than 30 years' experience in marketing, tourism and advertising. She spent 15 years with the Beloit Daily News while concurrently volunteering with the Downtown Beloit Association for 14 years, most recently as the Vice Chair of the Executive Board, and chair of the promotions committee. When she worked in Walworth County she volunteered with the Lake Geneva Chamber of Commerce and handled the advertising for The Darien Corn Fest. During her sons
 high school days she was President of the Milton Show Choir parent group.
Obershaw began her career in advertising sales locally at the Delavan Enterprise and Walworth County Week newspapers. She is married to her high school sweetheart Ryan. Her son Zachary is pursuing a career in audio engineering in Tennessee. In her spare time she enjoys being a member of the praise and worship team at Rock Valley Chapel in Beloit.
